The Collection for the Saints

Paul was on a mission to collect money to bring relief for the saints in Jerusalem. They were under persecution from the culture around them. They were pushed into poverty and were struggling to provide for their basic needs because of their faith. Paul was addressing how this relief was to be collected, but brings about the larger conversation of how we are to have the mentality to honor God through our finances and be able to provide for those in need.
