Cornerstone Family,

We’re excited to be able to announce that we will begin in-person worship gatherings again on Sunday, July 12th.

We will resume our regular service times of 9:00 and 10:30 AM.

For those that are uncomfortable or unable to return on July 12, we want you to know that we will begin livestreaming our 10:30 service that morning.

Up until this point we have been pre-recording our services and uploading them on Saturdays. We have been working very hard to get the technology into place for us to deliver a high-quality experience for those joining us online.

The livestream will be available on Facebook and YouTube. However, we are also going to begin streaming to  as well. We would like to encourage you to begin watching the service there on July 12. This site will make it easier to fill out connection cards, give online, chat with people, as well as ask for real-time live prayer from an online pastor.

During July we will not offer Sunday morning groups for kids and students in our building. Families who attend in-person will participate together in the worship center. We will continue to have “Story Time with Joe” as part of our service to keep them engaged and invite them to continue to engage in worship with their parents.

We know that those with babies or with smaller children that tend to be wiggly or noisy will be self-conscious about having them in service with us. We want you to know we understand and aren’t bothered by it and love having the kids join us. However, we’d like you to know that we will have the lobby available for you to take advantage of if you’d like to give them room to move.

Our building is been being professionally cleaned and will be cleaned before and after gatherings. We will have ushers to open the doors for you as well as touchless sanitizing stations around our building. No paper bulletins or connection cards will be distributed. We will continue to utilize digital connection cards.

We have decided to give everyone coming into our building the dignity of making their own choices. Whether you choose to wear a mask, or not to wear a mask, we ask that you respect the choices of others. We recognize that there will be strong feelings and opinions on both sides, but it is our desire that we be defined by our love for each other and not to make this something to divide over. There will not be any coffee so feel free to bring your own with you.

We will take communion together, but it will be in plastic bags prepared ahead of time by someone wearing a mask and gloves.

We also will not pass the offering bucket and instead encourage you to give either mailing a check before hand, or giving online through . You can also text “GIVE” to 217-210-0317.

There will be room for you to have as much distance between you and others as you desire and we will not be doing a welcome time.

Please continue to pray for us as all of these decisions require much prayer, planning, and preparation. While this has been a difficult season for all of us, God has not been surprised by any of it. He is good, and He is going to use this as part of His plans to bring about His Kingdom. Pray with us as we continue to evaluate how to best respond to the opportunities that God is opening for us during this time to spread the gospel and make disciples.
