We're sure you have plenty of questions for us. We want to do our best to keep you informed about what we will be doing during kids worship, what you can expect as a parent, where to drop off your kids, etc.. Hopefully this list helps to do that! If there is a question you have that isn't answered below, please contact Jodi Whitley, our Office Administrator, at email@example.com.
When will these changes--service times, Kids Worship--take place?
All of these changes will be in effect starting March 4, 2018!
What are the new service times starting March 4?
First service will be at 9:00 am, and second service will start at 10:30 am.
Will Kid's Worship take place during both services?
Good question! Actually, it will not; However, we will have something for kids during both services. During the 9:00 am service, we will have Kid Groups, which will be very similar to our previous Sunday School model. During the 10:30 am service, we will have Kids Worship, which will be a lot like VBS! That means singing and dancing, video teachings appropriate for kids, and additional kid group time with trusted adult volunteers.
Should I only take my child(ren) to one of the kid services?
You are more than welcome to bring them to both, especially if you are going to worship one, serve one. We have designed these environments (Kid Groups and Kids Worship) so that your child(ren) will have a different experience in both settings.
Where do I check in my child(ren)?
If you are a new family, go straight to our welcome desk! We'll get your information, as well as your child's, plugged into our system, and we will show your child to their classroom.
If you are dropping off your child in the nursery, we will have a check-in station for you in the kitchen, just outside of our nursery.
If you are the parent of a K-5th grade child, you will check in your child at the C-Kids check-in station (on the west wall of the lobby, directly under the big C-Kids logo).
Will I take my child(ren) directly to their classroom?
If you are dropping your child(ren) off for Kid Groups during first service, then yes. Please be sure to check in your child(ren) beforehand.
If you are dropping off your child(ren) for Kids Worship during second service, we will have a volunteer escort them to our worship area directly from the check-in station.
Where do I pick up my child(ren)?
We ask that parents come to their child(ren)'s classroom to pick them up. We will not allow a child to leave without their parent signing them out. Please have your Parent Tag handy (which you will receive at check-in) to sign out your child(ren).
When should I pick up my child(ren)?
Please pick up/sign out your child(ren) from Kid Groups/Kids Worship immediately following each service.
If my child(ren) attends both services, do I need to sign them out after the first one?
Because of the 30 minute gap between services, we DO ask parents to sign out their child(ren) after the first service (Kid Groups). You will then check your child(ren) back into Kids Worship through the same check-in process used prior.
I'm new. Where should I go?
We're glad you're here! You should go straight to the Welcome Desk in the lobby, where you will find a smiling volunteer waiting to take down your information and show you exactly where you and your child(ren) will need to go!
What's the difference between Kid Groups and Kids Worship?
For one, service times. Kid Groups will take place during our 9:00 am service, and Kids Worship will take place during our 10:30 am service.
Kid Groups will also be similar to our previous Sunday School model, where kids will enjoy age-appropriate, creative and interactive bible teaching, fun activities, and crafts. During Kids Worship, kids will worship together through singing and dancing, as well as participate and learn from large group teaching, and small group activities.
What will my child(ren) be learning on Sunday mornings?
